Born in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Sara showed promise from a very early age. Attending school in Halifax until the age of twelve, all of Sara's teachers knew she would be successful. With her academic drive for perfection and heavy involvement in extracurricular activities, it was obvious that she loved to keep busy.

At the age of fourteen and a recent resident of Riverview, New Brunswick, Sara had the chance to sit in with a popular local radio morning show. It was then that she realized her love for media and decided she somehow had to be a part of it.

Sara spent her remaining high school years working hard towards a career in Journalism. Taking every journalism-related class and getting as much life experience as she could; by going on exchange to Austria through Rotary International Youth Exchange and Co-Operative Education classes, Sara wanted to be the female Anderson Cooper, the next Diane Sawyer or Barbara Walters.

Having her first published article at age seventeen, Sara's love for media only grew. She was awarded Riverview High School's Journalism Award, Riverview High School's Co-Operative Education Award, and received a $1000 scholarship from the Moncton Press Club.

She then went on to attend the University of King's College; where she participated in the Foundation Year Programme, majored in Sociology and minored in Journalism. While at King's Sara made many friends and even initiated into Alpha Gamma Delta, an international women's fraternity. She held both the New Member Coordinator and Vice President Operations positions. Beside her academic and fraternity life, Sara was the first year Journalism representative, had photos published in the Dalhousie Environmental Society's Journal, and volunteered when she could.

After two years at King's, Sara decided she wanted a more hands on approach to learning. She left university and began the Radio and Television Arts Program at the Nova Scotia Community College. Besides excelling in the program, Sara has also done well in the radio industry since high school; working for stations in both Moncton and Halifax in the promotions department.

Besides graduating with a diploma in Radio Production and Performance in 2010, Sara plans on heading to Greece to swim 25 kilometres and climb Mt. Zeus to raise funds for Halifax's Saint Leonard's Society.

Sara loves meeting new people, working through challenges, being creative, working in an ever-changing fast paced environment and working within the community.
